Cell phones = Cancer !

The speech reassuring of the WHO on risks associated with the use of mobile phones is shaken again by a new Israeli study, partially funded also by the UN organization. The radiation emitted by the devices clearly increases the risk of cancer of the parotid glands, located near the ear.

Without any ambiguity, the authors reveal "a causal link between the use of mobile phones and development of parotid gland tumors. And more the use of the phone is protracted, the danger seems more important. " The risk is (thus) increased 50% in people who use their phones for more than 22 hours per month" the authors said.

Another important point: the exposure is more dangerous in rural areas (where the transmitters are more powerful) than urbain. It's an important step that has just been crossed.

Until now, the contradictory conclusion on the possible dangers of electromagnetic fields were not founded. For Dr. Sadetzki, "we must both encourage people to use more systematically hands-free kits, and re-evaluate the standards in mobile telephony. A new technology should (in effect) to be rapidly developed to reduce the risk of tumors associated with radiation.
